Dr. Nowreen Haq is a board-certified endocrinologist and obesity medicine specialist. She serves in leadership capacity in several clinical protocols and advisory boards in endocrinology. Her clinical endocrine practice focuses on complex diabetes management, rare autoimmune and genetic endocrine diseases, transgender endocrinology, cardiometabolic disease, obesity medicine and lipidology. She had received fellowship training in endocrinology at the National Institute of Health (NIH), USA. She served as an Associate Program Director of Internal Medicine Residency program at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine affiliated Greater Baltimore Medical Center and as a faculty member at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and at the New York University (NYU). She has served in multiple education panels of American College of Physicians (ACP), Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM). She is the chief editor of and contributor for endocrinology updates in Stat Pearls Inc affiliated with PubMed and authored several text book chapters and served as a American Board of Internal Medicine board review speaker for endocrinology and metabolism for Med Study Inc. Dr. Haq earned an award for academic excellence, while at the Medical College for Women during her medical school years. Throughout her residency training, she contributed to quality improvement, as well as patient safety protocol development.
